Your tasks:

  • Develop and maintain the architectural roadmap through expert skills, translate high level business requirements into technology architecture that aligns to Group strategy
  • Define a future state which optimally delivers the business objectives and Business IT strategy
  • Simplify the existing architecture, identifying reusable services and cost saving opportunities in line with the policies and standards of the Group
  • Define an implementation strategy, engaging senior business stakeholders to secure strong support
  • Prepare architecture business cases, present benefits, drivers and financial merits
  • Actively provide clear and consistent architectural leadership in major change projects
  • Lead and/or participate in architecture reviews
  • Participate in the third party supplier selection process, evaluating the suitability and cost of products, making appropriate recommendations
  • Provide internal architecture consultancy and compile guidelines
  • Collaborate effectively with Group IT, business stakeholders and architects from different divisions within the Group
  • Establish and utilize compliance checkpoints and control to manage risk effectively
  • Ensure IT Security Standards are kept up-to-date in line with ITEC policy and any changes are communicated to the relevant platforms teams

Your knowlege/experience:

  • A Bachelor or Masters degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Several years relevant experience within IT architecture, with a technical understanding of software, infrastructure, integration, security and data
  • Ability to set and challenge the technology direction in all of the above domains
  • Knowledge of emerging trends and technology developments
  • Strong leadership as well as relationship building skills
  • Negotiates skillfully and diplomatically with stakeholders in various business units and geographical locations
  • Ability to convey complex technical issues and set ups to a non-technical audience
  • Self-starter who is capable of working and performing independently
  • Fluency in spoken and written business English and German
  • This role will involve moderate travel, mostly to the UK
