Your tasks:

This role is within the Risk Management & Controlling department of Lloyds Bank GmbH based in Berlin.

Reporting to the Lead Risk Partner, you will be responsible for managing credit risk within risk appetite and in accordance with the Group Risk Management Framework and Group Policies for our German as well as Dutch market. The role focuses on the development and use of credit risk models, especially related to IFRS 9, PD/LGD modelling and supporting the stress testing and forecasting.

Additionally, this role supports strategic projects through detailed analysis and testing, working with other teams on initiatives that benefit the customer experience. All in close cooperation with colleagues in the team, as well as partnering with business functions, such as Finance, Treasury and Operations.

 

  • Ensure a reliable infrastructure, including models, data, control environment and compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements
  • Build and manage effective relationships with colleagues in the wider Risk team and across partnering business functions (such as Operations, Finance, Customer Analytics and Risk Infrastructure) 
  • Generate key management information, interpret complex data using statistical techniques and provide insights to support business decisions
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations for senior management and stakeholders, communicate and drive through their delivery
  • Accountable for impairment and capital (actuals  and forecasting), as well as the governance required for each process
  • Draft timely, accurate and insightful management information and liaise with the Regulatory Reporting team regarding FinRep, CoRep and CRR attestations

Your knowledge/experience:

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a highly analytical and numerate discipline, such as mathematics, physics, econometrics or similar
  • Several years professional experience in a credit risk function (preferably with a focus on retail customers)
  • Basel regulation and IFRS 9 knowledge, specifically on credit risk for retail and SME customers
  • Good understanding of more sophisticated credit risk techniques and the ability to apply these independently
  • Broad knowledge of credit risk lifecycle
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced SAS and/or SQL as well as MS Office skills
  • Excellent communication skills (English required, German and/or Dutch would be a big plus)
