Your tasks:

  • Lead to drive change, strengthening financial control framework and build consistency and operational excellence through the organization and across finance function in Germany and the Netherlands
  • Responsible for the reviewing and sign-off of balance sheet and P&L attestations across the bank and leads deep dive reviews into ledger balances
  • Lead and develop the banks financial control forum
  • Ensures effective oversight of complex end to end processes by ensuring that all financial reporting risks identified and all relevant financial statement assumptions are validated and reviewed on a regular basis
  • Lead the resolution of financial control issues
  • Manage stakeholder expectations at all levels within the bank and interfaces to the group. Ensure any issues are flagged ahead of time, be proactive in identifying issues and providing sustainable solutions
  • Support External Audit process
  • Consults on all finance related change activity

Your knowledge/experience:

  • Master degree with focus on e.g. accounting audit or audit
  • 5 years experiences in financial services / banking
  • Deep understanding of financial processes, risk & control assessments and frameworks e.g. Sox 404a.
  • Very good leadership skills
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English
