Your tasks:

  • Produce and review monthly cost performance information with each member of the Executive team and colleagues across our Berlin and Amsterdam offices
  • Challenge performance via cost driver analyses and agree on follow-up actions
  • Prepare and develop financial plans, budgets and forecasts and ensure these align to our strategic goals
  • Work in close liaison with our Head of Change and Project Leads to ensure project costs are fully understood through monthly reviews and tracking of costs and benefits
  • Work closely with the Cost Management team to understand and challenge relevant Cost Transfer Charging (CTC) data
  • Provide financial support/modelling for the implementation of new projects
  • Support the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and other Financial Control requirements
  • Proactively identify and manage opportunities and risks to our 4 year plan
  • Support senior management decision making by providing insightful and efficient ad hoc reporting

Your knowledge/experience:

  • Educated to degree level with several years of working in a finance/ controlling/ cost controlling function
  • Experience in an IFRS environment, some knowledge of HGB accounting and/or Accountancy qualification desirable
  • Strong commercial awareness of the market and industry environment
  • Very good Excel skills; experience with VBA, IBM Cognos and/or Smartview preferred
  • Practical understanding of relevant financial systems and processes
  • Ability to influence with very good interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Fluent in English, Dutch and/or German is a plus
